Custom web application development for products that have to work

FNB Solutions builds custom web applications end to end: architecture, backend, frontend and the operational pieces that keep a product running after launch. We take on products where the logic is the hard part, such as multi-step workflows, payments, external data sources, or rules that change by region or customer.

You work with one accountable team across the whole stack, so technical decisions are made deliberately rather than split between vendors. The goal is a product that ships properly and can keep evolving without a rewrite.

This is a good fit if

  • You are building a product that your business depends on, not a brochure site
  • The domain has real complexity: workflows, payments, integrations or regulated steps
  • Off-the-shelf tools or no-code platforms have stopped fitting
  • You need one partner who owns the technical outcome, not hands-only execution

What's included

Product and technical discovery

We map goals, users, constraints and risk areas before writing code, so scope and priorities are clear from the start.

Architecture and data modelling

System boundaries, data models and APIs designed for the product you have now and the one you expect to grow into.

Backend and frontend engineering

Full-stack implementation, including business logic, integrations, payments, authentication and authorization, and user-facing interfaces.

Production readiness

Performance, reliability, security fundamentals and edge cases treated as part of the build, not as a phase after it.

Launch and handover

Deployment, documentation and a codebase your team can operate and extend, or ongoing support from us if you prefer.

What you get

  • A production web application, deployed and documented
  • Architecture notes and data model documentation
  • Source code you own, with a clear structure for future work
  • A plan for what comes next: scaling, features and maintenance

Company Incorporation Platform

Context

A user-facing platform guiding customers through company incorporation across multiple jurisdictions, combining regulatory workflows, payments, and document delivery in a single experience.

What made it non-trivial

  • Multi-step, jurisdiction-specific workflows with different requirements
  • Payment handling embedded directly in a conversion-critical flow
  • Secure document access tied to user identity and company state
  • High cost of user error or flow breakdown during onboarding

Our role

We owned the end-to-end technical implementation, including workflow orchestration, backend systems, and frontend state management. Special attention was given to ensuring clarity and predictability in a process where users were often unfamiliar with the domain.

Outcome

The platform delivered a stable, guided incorporation experience with clear state transitions and minimal user confusion. The system supported regulatory variation without fragmenting the codebase or slowing iteration.

How we work

  1. 01

    Understanding the problem properly

Before writing code, we focus on clarity. We take the time to understand the product goals, technical constraints, and risk areas — so we’re solving the right problems, not just the visible ones.

  2. 02

    Designing the right foundation

We define architecture, system boundaries, and key technical decisions early. This creates a stable foundation that supports growth, change, and long-term maintainability.

  3. 03

    Building with discipline and visibility

Development happens in controlled iterations, with regular communication and working software. Progress stays visible, and technical risk is managed continuously — not deferred.

  4. 04

    Preparing for real-world use

We focus on performance, reliability, and edge cases to ensure the product holds up under real users, real data, and real load — not just internal testing.

  5. 05

    Leaving you with something sustainable

We deliver clean, documented, maintainable code that your team can confidently operate, extend, and scale — without rewrites or dependency on us.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of web applications do you build?

Products where correctness and structure matter: commerce and data platforms, regulated onboarding flows, custom publishing systems, internal platforms and customer portals. Recent work includes a digital commerce platform that normalizes catalogs from many providers and a multi-jurisdiction company incorporation platform.

Which technologies do you use?

We choose the stack per project. Much of our recent work uses React and Next.js on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, PostgreSQL for data and AWS services such as Amazon SES. If you already have a stack, we work within it.

Do we own the code?

Yes. You own the source code and everything we build for you. We deliver it documented and structured so another team could take it over.

How does a project start?

With a conversation, not a proposal. We talk through what you are building and where the risk is, then agree on scope, milestones and how we will work together.
